No, we are not in Texas.    We are located in Gallia County (Ohio) within the village of Rio Grande.  Situated ¼ mile off US 35 and approximately 13 miles from Gallipolis - a city along the Ohio River in Southeastern Ohio.,

Facilities include: 150 acre campus with 26 buildings including state-of-the-art technology with e-mail and Internet access, air-conditioned residence halls and dining hall, a newly completed math/science addition, library, a museum of art, physical fitness and athletic facilities and a new track.

ACADEMIC INFORMATION

Colleges: College of Professional Studies: Schools of Business, Technology, Fine Arts and Education and the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences: Schools of Nursing, Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities.

Accreditation and Approvals: North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, Ohio Board of Regents, Ohio Department of Education, American Medical Association for the two-year Medical Technology program, Ohio Board of Nursing and the Council on Social Work Education.

Academic Calendar: Three quarter system, two summer terms.
Courses of Study: 60 major programs, including two - and four - year degrees with a 2 plus 2 option of study and achievement levels. The Master of Education in classroom teaching degrees include concentrations in the following academic areas: fine arts, reading, math and learning disabilities.

Degrees Offered: Master of Education (MED.), Bachelor of Science (BS), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (BSIT), Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Associate of Applied Business (AAB - 2 year), Associate of Applied Science (AAS - 2 year), and Associate of Technical Study (ATS - 2 year). Associate of Arts (AA - 2 year), Associate of Applied Science (AAS - 2 year).

Classes: Faculty student ratio in the freshman and sophomore years - 18/1: in the junior and senior years of study, the faculty/student ratio is 9/1.

Placement Rate: 87 percent job placement rate, according to 1995 data.

STUDENT LIFE

Social Events: More than 350 each academic year

Student Organizations: More than 30 including academic honorariums, special interest clubs and service organizations.
Cultural Events: The University is a regional center for the fine and performing arts. Programs including the Grand Chorale, Buckeye Theatre Series and Valley Artist Series reach more than 150,000 persons per year.
Greek Organizations: 9 fraternities and sororities, both national and local.
Intercollegiate Athletics: NAIA, Division I (5 sports for men, 5 sports for women)
